Weigh-in Wednesday (Week 1)

Each month I'm trying to have a small achievable goals that will help me in accomplishing some of my 2017 New Years Resolutions. For February, I've decided that I'm going to record all of the food I eat on one of the many health apps I've got on my iPhone. To begin with, I'm not calorie counting in the traditional sense, but I'm going be keeping a tally of how many calories I consume vs what various apps think are my recommended allowance - if I go over, I go over, I won't be precious about it. This will hopefully enable me to reduce how much I eat in the future, the thinking being if I can see where the calories come from I will be able to reduce them or find alternatives.

As part of my mini health kick I'm using a number of apps, which I've had on my phone for a long time, but have fallen out of favour. They are:
  • Fitbit - to act as my pedometer, using my Fitbit Alta I got for Christmas
  • MyFitnessPal - the app recording my food consumption, as their database of produce is second to none
  • TactioHealth - tracking my weight, mood,
  • WaterMinder - tracking my liquid intake (currently the apple free app of the week)
  • Health (by Apple) - already installed on my iPhone, so it'd be daft to not use it

I've measured my weight this evening so hopefully, either consciously or otherwise, I'll be able to loose some weight in February. I'll keep you posted, wish me luck!
