#Blogmas2016 - Day 22

I made a commitment to do a post a day for Blogmas, but I feel emotionally drained tonight as I attended my auntie's funeral this afternoon and I'm not in the right frame of mind to do one of the posts I'd been considering. Instead, I would like to remind people that not everyone will have a fantastic Christmas every year. There can be a number of reasons for this and they're not always obvious to people outside your circle.
Interestingly I read a Facebook post yesterday which resonated with me by Martin Lewis (of Money Saving Expert fame) who wrote:

"And a word to those who'll face grief or loneliness this festive time. While we're sold the concept it has to be a special day, it is just a day. Sleep in late, watch the telly and it'll pass."
I have a feeling that this year we will have muted celebrations whilst trying to keep the experience special for our little boy. I could write a whole essay on this kind of subject, but I'm hoping this post comes across in the right manner. And although of course I wish every single one of you a very Happy Christmas and hope that you have an amazing day, just please remember to be considerate for those around you who may not feel like celebrating this year.
